Join your neighbors for a co-designing session to build from ideas, priorities and concepts of Workshop II. We will review and refine the resident priorities for urban greening benefits and continue to design for what type of urban greening (GSI) can be implemented in the public right of way and residential properties. Working directly on large maps, residents will work together to discuss ideal locations for different urban greening (GSI) options such as trees, bulb outs, rain gardens and rain catchment systems
Do you know how urban greening can support your home or block? Are you concerned that new green landscaping and trees are a sign of gentrification?
We invite you to join our paid workshop series to share your ideas about urban greening and resilience in your neighborhood. How might we create a greener and more healthy community for the existing Columbian Gardens (DAG) residents?
Workshop I will be a community session of residents and GSI/C team members getting to know one another and an introduction about the GSI/C project. You will learn about the project and what to expect throughout the series.
The first workshop will allow us to ground ourselves and get to know one another. we will work together on a community asset mapping activity that makes you stroll down memory lane of “when it was good in the hood”.
A meal and water provided! Space in this series is limited, register today!
**Resident stipends are $100 per workshop or activity attended**
