We believe that our community can become a greener place through the power of community itself.
Richmond, California is a special place for many of its residents. Its history, communities ties, and social activities are important facets that make this neighborhood what it is. This series of workshops will offer community members opportunities to share their personal stories about stormwater-related events, challenges, issues, and opportunities.
The workshop team will listen to these reflections, understand the lessons learned, and co-create with the community a vision for a greener Dag neighborhood with improved resilience to storms, greater benefits for wildlife, and healthier water quality in the neighborhood.
The vision for a greener Richmond will emerge over the course of the workshop series, beginning with an assessment of the present state and followed by options for a green future.
Along the way, residents will have opportunities to review advanced technology and science to reveal different potential benefits for the community.
